SHOP AASHKA was born from deep love for yarns, textures and the soulful craft of knitwear. Founded by fashion designer Aashka Mehta, the brand reflects the founder's perspective on sweaters — soft, sculptural fabrics that beautifully mould to the female form. This passion led Aashka to study Knitwear Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, where she honed her skills and shaped her creative voice. Over the years, she gained invaluable experience working with renowned fashion houses including Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, Nordstrom, Aeropostale, and Emilio de la Morena, learning the craft from the inside out.
Inspired by her childhood in India and global travels, SHOP AASHKA was officially launched in 2023 with a clear mission: to create modern, thoughtful and sustainable knitwear that respects people and the planet. The brand is grounded in sustainability and ethical sourcing, using certified yarns to offer best value to today's conscious consumer.Â
Shop AASHKA also bridges the gap between modern manufacturing and traditional craftsmanship, inspired from the Indian heritage. It opens the doors to the eastern world of luxury, royalty, and opulence. We strive to create collections that honor the past while manifesting a more conscious future.
